The bowhunting season for antelope in Oklahoma will be Oct. 1-13, 2011, more than two weeks later than the 2010 season.
The state wildlife department requested the change so that hunters who win antelope the drawing for gun hunts through the controlled hunts program could hunt first, before bowhunters. The controlled hunts program is the only legal mechanism for antelope gun hunting.
