Two Harbors (MN) Considers City Deer Bowhunt

Council members in Two Harbors, Minn., had a second reading of an in-city archery deer hunt ordinance.

The ordinance is similar to the one presented to the board for a first reading. There were some changes in wording to allow the police chief to designate someone to carry out tasks associated with the hunt. Also, the public safety committee had a map of possible hunting zones available for council members to look over. The third reading of the ordinance will be at the next city council meeting July 25. If the ordinance is passed, there will be an archery hunt in Two Harbors this fall.
